Haven't felt much like posting lately, but I saw this quote on the Art of Manliness blog and had to post it.

I think thats what got me into telemark skiing. And carpentry. And cross stitch...

New cross stitch!

Just finished this one up a few minutes ago, and I think it came out great!
I got the chart for free from the Needleprint Blog and modified it to make it an xmas present for my mom.
Now I just need to mat and frame it.

It truly is uncanny how much I enjoy Grape Nuts.

I have no idea how they did it, but they totally got this robot high.

I'm truly lucky to live in such a beautiful spot.

Craftiness update

I've been busy!

In addition to starting another few cross stitches (pictures to come later), I've also been playing around with the Knifty Knitter Circular looms.

Check out the hat, mitten and scarf set I finished!


I also made myself a new bed today. Its totally bomber!

I don't think I'll ever get used to the sight of snow on the beach.

Seems like such an odd contradiction, don't you think?

$30 at REI!

A friend of mine gave me a $30 gift certificate for REI and I got to spend it today.

I got something practical that I needed.

I also got myself a new toy, of course! (I got the spork)

This will blow your mind. But only a little.

Winter is officially here!

1) I put my snow tires on the car.
2) It snowed last night and it was still there in the morning.
3) My dog walking footwear has switched from Crocs to Uggs.
